The Nioxin in Costco is diverted. The only guarantee that its real nioxin is when purchased from a salon. Costco in particular lost a suit to Farouk because they proved that they were selling counterfeit Chi irons.

how long did it take before your hair got thicker? I have all the reasons to get hair loss, genetically, i have anemia & my mom has thyroid and I think i have it too, I also have malnutrition i know & have oily scalp. =(
@ the message below: You really should address the tyroid and anemia problems. Otherwise you are only fixing the symptom and not the problem. I started taking iron tablets and noticed a HUGE difference in my hair! (and my energy, my skin, my sleep… etc)

i had a tremendous hair loss after i give birth to my son and a friend w/c is a hair stylist recommended the nioxin shampoo number 7 to me and it was pretty much effective…after 1 use the hair loss decreases and after my 2nd used, the hair loss stops…i use it every 2-3days only for a few months…a bit pricey but it worth it.

Nioxin claims that it can remove follicle-clogging sebum and fatty acids to create a healthier hair. But my concern is that isn’t “sebum” healthy for your hair? Sebum is a lubricant mixture of oily substances and fragmented cells that keeps the skin soft and moist and prevents the hair from becoming brittle. If Nioxin removes that substance than how is that healthy for our hair? Please provide us with an adequate answer. Thanks
For 5 yrs ive suffered hairloss, im now 29, female. I went to multiple doctors, bloodwork was fine. Serum ferritin was a 50, but ii took ferrous sulfate for 7 months, and no change. I tried rifain for 7 months and I lost more hair. Its so bad now I have a receding hairline and hairloss all over, bad in temple areas. I recently 3 months went on low androgen bcp (yaz) and I noticed my hairloss seemed to stop. I decided to use nioxin and my hairloss is just falling out severly.
I dont know if I should keep taking it stage 2 the 3 step system. My hairloss began after the use of accutane. And I notice the top frontal of my scalp sometimes hurts, I feel its from no oil ib my scalp. My scalp honestly has no oils.
Im desperate for help. I had a scalp biopsy 3 yrs ago that showed chronic telogen effluvium. I am soo desperate to figure it out, I do feel the bcp has stopped hair loss after 5 years of loseing it. love this product. using it for more than one year now. my hair grows faster…no more hair fall…and thicker hair. i highly recommend it. i actually had developed a bald patch on my crown area and it is all gone now and i m left with thick hair now .people often ask me how i have such thick voluminous hair. they dont believe me when i tell them i was suffering from hair loss n it is cuz of nioxin i have such thick hair now. what just a shampoo n cond. no way…YES..just a S&C..i use sys 4
I had to stop the nioxin bc I was loseing over 200 hairs a day. My long battle of hairloss continues. I havent a clue why.

I just started using this after a lot of post partum hair loss. I love the minty smell and menthol tingle. My hair feels shinier and silkier after two uses. Will keep it up and hope I het fuller hair
Has anyone tried Perfect Image Solutions shampoo? I’ve read it’s good and there is a viedo of a dude and another of a girl saying it’s really great. I have really thick hair, but I’m concerned about recent excessive shedding and a little receding on my temples. Not totally noticeable, but I’m worried because I’m only 20 (male). What should I try?

Redken has something for thinning hair called: Intraforce. Can you compare the two products. I’d like to know which one is best to use for men’s thinning hair especially.
